Product Details:

Somen is usually eaten in the summer months as a cold noodle dish with sauce for dipping. Sipping the noodles from the sauce is recommended to dip every last tasty morsel in your mouth. Hmm!

In Korean cuisine, somen is used in hot and cold noodle soups such as janchi-guksu (banquet noodles) and kong-guksu (cold soybean soup noodles), as well as non-soup noodle dishes such as bibim-guksu ( mixed noodles). It is often served with spicy anju (food that accompanies alcoholic drink) as golbaengi-muchim (moon snail salad). In Japanese cuisine, somen is usually served cold with a light-flavored dipping sauce, or tsuyu. Tsuyu is usually a katsuobushi-based sauce that can be flavored with Japanese onion, ginger, or myoga. In the summer, ice-cold sōmen is a popular food to help keep cool.
